pRAISE Clothing by Alma Meza

In August of 2012, founder/designer Alma Meza, had a divinely-inspired dream about clothing that showcased scriptures and spiritually-based messages. When she woke up that morning, she realized there was a void in the fashion industry for stylish garments that also promoted faith. On the contrary, there seemed to be a rise in popularity for clothing that contained demonic imagery and degrading language. This was not a trend she was prepared to subscribe to. She says, "if our body is our temple, we should take that into consideration with the clothing we wear, also." Alma then decided to fuse her love for fashion, particularly high-end labels, with faith-related statement designs. In October of 2012, Alma completed the first collection for pRAISE and officially founded the business, all glory to God! In addition to building the business, Alma was led to step out on faith and resign from her full-time position at a corporate company. The transition was terrifying, but she knew God had a beautiful plan for her. This was her calling and she was determined to see it through.

pRAISE is dedicated to all the believers who are not afraid to wear their heart for God on their sleeve. We are to shine our lights bright- raise it up for the most high with pRAISE. Stemming from a public relations background, this edgy yet professional chic has been serving the public with her expertise since 2003. Working for brands such as Foot Locker, New York & Company, DEMO clothing, and Sears is what really sparked her interest in wanting to learn the 'behind the scenes' work of building publicity for small businesses and entrepreneurs.

After graduating from Savannah State University with a degree in Mass Communication and a concentration in Public Relation/Advertising, Helena K. moved to Atlanta to jump-start her career. However after nine months of working corporate pr and even trying her hand at entrepreneurship with her first company, HK & J Promotions, she was disappointed with the industry and moved further south to Fort Lauderdale. There she did PR in the non-profit sector, where she mastered social media management and promotion. Moving back to Atlanta, made her realize her passion for the entertainment industry. So she researched, networked, and built her career as a Brand Development and Field Marketing Specialist. Helen Kelleese is currently based in Atlanta but virtual everywhere.
